No other online poker tournaments have been drawing the attention of players like the ongoing World Championship of Poker (WCOOP) and PokerStars. It’s the Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP), an edition of PokerStars that has always provided gamers with memorable experiences. In the past, FTOPS that Full Tilt Poker was featuring, seemed as various player’s favorite. However, Full Tilt Poker no longer exists, thus pushing poker enthusiasts to find other alternatives. Unusually, Full Tilt Poker is available at the PokerStars, but the skin is the only option existing.
For a chance to experience a new challenge, players can now plan to be part of Micro-Gaming Poker Network (MPN). Universal Championship of Poker (UCOP) will be hosting the soon-to-be-unveiled event as from September 15. The UCOP tournament has lined up more than 94 events that also feature €1000000 worth of guarantees.
The 94 events will feature a wide range of activities, which are designed to accommodate almost every player’s desire. Several buy-in options running from €2.20 to €320 are on offer for the massive event scheduled beginning the coming Sunday. One thing that poker fanatics can be sure of is the availability of wide varieties of No-Limit Hold’em events. The experience won’t be restricted only to NLHE alone, but also other options like re-buy, deep stack, and bounty. Big ante and six-handed lovers will equally not be left out in the event which is set to run for a long time.
Without forgetting, the championship will also feature a few Pot-Limit Omaha events. However, the unfortunate part is that exotic games enthusiasts will be locked out of the competition. The climax of the challenge will come at 5:00 of server time on September 29. The main event of the UCOP event will be the freezeout tournament, where players will stake €110 for €100000 guarantee.
Like other global poker tournaments, UCOP will be ranking participants to generate the leaderboard list. However, the mode of ranking will be unique but still rewarding handsomely to more-involved players. The strange feature is that the player with the fewest points will occupy the top spot of the leaderboard. The method of awarding points where the one with most points trails seems to confuse several people. The winner of the tournament will have one point, the second-placed player will secure two points, and the style will maintain up to the last spot. Gamers who will choose to skip an event will gather more points and consequently compete for the bottom positions.
The ultimate winner in the leaderboard will clinch a trophy dubbed as the “Greatest Poker Player in the Universe.” Apart from bagging the trophy, the winner will take home €1000 cash plus the Player’s Choice prize. In addition, a €1550 online tournament ticket package and a further €1500 MPNPT package.
Unlike other poker tournaments that mainly put the first three in the money bracket, MPN will reward up to the player who finishes at position twenty. Furthermore, gamers who meet some qualifications of loyalty will win seats for the UCOP Main Event.
